For the price, the harness will work! They are quite musty smelling though!

Unfortunally weither it's the harness you ordered with faux leather, or our acutally leather harness, there is a smell from either the material used in your harness, or the leather oil on our leather ones. The small should go away after a while after it's out of it's packaging.
