How to Set Up Your Stone Creek™ Rod and Reel Combo

  • Attach the reel - Slide it onto the rod and tighten it securely. 
  • Thread the line - Run through the guides, from the one at the tip to the basement. 
  • Tie on the leader- Connect the leader line to the end of the fly line with an excellent tough knot. 
  • Add backing: Wind an extra backing line onto the reel ahead of the fly line.

  • Monitor the line so that you do not overspread it upon casting. 
  • After fishing, rinse your rod and reel out with fresh water.
